At the end of each session, the model chooses the winner, with a place in the coveted winners' gallery and the chance to be crowned Jenny's artist of the week. The artists who are getting creative in the studio in this first week include tattooist Glyn, who has plenty of life drawing experience, and PR consultant Sara, who has very little. M4, 9pm – The Great British Dig: History In Your Back Garden

In this new series, actor and comedian Hugh Dennis is joined by a team of expert archaeologists to excavate back gardens around Britain, in an attempt to uncover the lost history buried beneath our lawns and flower beds, while recruiting local people to get digging too. In this series, the team go in search of a Roman fort connected to Hadrian's Wall to shed new light on the Roman military, as well as a lost Viking burial ground to uncover further information about the lives of the Anglo-Saxons laid to rest there. They also dig deep to try and discover more about William the Conquerors' lost priory and the mysteries of the monks that walked its hallowed halls, and the secrets of a World War military base before it is lost to coastal erosion forever. In this episode, Hugh and the team of expert archaeologists unearth William the Conqueror's lost Priory hidden beneath the neighbourhood lawns of Lenton in Nottingham. With rumours that the real sheriff of Nottingham was buried on the site, the team open their trenches and dig down through the layers. Using various archaeological techniques and methods, they begin to draw a bigger picture of the landscape during the Domesday Book era, uncover new evidence of the Priory structure and learn more about the lives of the monks who once walked within these sacred walls.

C4, 10pm – The Pandemic At No. 47

A film to mark the anniversary of the first national lockdown. Director Paddy Wivell (Prison) films the effect that this prolonged period of isolation has had on his own community. Like many British people he only knows a few of his neighbours. And, of course, the rules of lockdown prevent the public from visiting other people in their homes or even standing within two metres of each other. So Wivell embraces these restrictions and films the diverse mix of London residents at a distance - through their doorways and windows. Over the months that follow, the filmmaker befriends people who were once strangers, as they reveal their fears and anxieties but also enjoy some new-found opportunities. What emerges is a 'socially distant' but intimate film about people recalibrating what is important in life.

C4, 6.45pm – The Hobbit:

Martin Freeman stars as Bilbo Baggins, the reluctant adventurer and the eponymous hobbit, in the first instalment of Peter Jackson's epic action adventure trilogy based on JRR Tolkien's novel, The Hobbit. With Ian McKellen as wizard Gandalf. Bilbo Baggins isn't a natural adventurer. Indeed, it may be said that he's something of a homebody. So why has the wise wizard Gandalf chosen him to help a fierce band of dwarves reclaim their homeland of Erebor? Well, because hobbits can pass unseen by almost anyone. But first you must convince the hobbit to come on the adventure. Then you must convince the dwarves that they want the hobbit to come on the adventure. Then, and only then, can you actually go on the adventure. While this is all going on, 13 dwarves are eating Mr Baggins out of hobbit-hole and home. So he may as well go on the adventure. And what an adventure! It's going to be by turn dangerous, character forming, surprising, sumptuously shot and, of course, emotional. Freeman and McKellen are joined by a host of British acting talent as the Dwarves of the Lonely Mountain, including Richard Armitage as Thorin, Aidan 'Poldark' Turner as Kill, Ken Stott as Balin and James Nesbitt as Bofur.
